The Association of Economists (Colegio de Economistas) and UCAM have signed an agreement to foster the practical training of students and to ease their fast incorporation in the labour market.

The dean of the association, Ramón Madrid, and the president of UCAM, José Luis Mendoza, signed this agreement to announce a series of objective advantages deriving from early inclusion in the association of recent graduates from the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE) and of the Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Commercial Management without paying any fee.

This agreement is very interesting both for the economists and for the teaching institution, and it has certain characteristics that help the students to establish a first contact with real work.

Zero-cost membership

Ramón Madrid assured that the graduates benefit from a zero-cost membership with a duration of one year, and those who become members before graduating have the right to use some of the services and resources of the Association.

José Luis Mendoza highlighter that the professional network of the Association is important for the incorporation of recent graduates in the labour market.

“The Association and UCAM have had a strict and fruitful collaboration for many years”, they both declared.

The agreement, through UCAM, consolidates the relation between the two institutions, strengthening their historical connections in the field of training and of labour integration of the graduates of the Faculty of Legal and Business Sciences of UCAM.

Among the activities that will be carried out in the framework of this agreement, the following shall be highlighted:

  • Training lectures by the Association of Economists for last-year students of the Faculty of Legal and Business Sciences with the aim of favouring their integration in the work field.
  • The possibility, for the recent graduates, to participate in the activities of the Association of Economists, both in the field of training, through its School of Economics, and in the field of professional development (Job Portal of the Association) and networking. To this end, graduates will be able to become members free of charge for one year and they will receive their economist certificate without paying any fees.
  • Access to the information on the activities carried out by the Association of Economists and the possibility to participate in them as full members.

Through the agreement, the Association of Economists promotes the actual contact of new graduates with the professionals who carry out their work on a daily basis in the companies of the Region of Murcia. It also facilitates high-quality complementary teaching in the School of Economics of the Association for the incorporation in the labour market, which requires a specific regulatory framework in auditing, accounting, etc. Lastly, it offers new professional opportunities since it gives the possibility of joining specific training courses such as Controller, Compliance, or expert in financial management, among others.
