Monsignor Dionisio García showed interest for the students of UCAM, and the operations of the university
Dionisio García, archbishop of Santiago de Cuba, made a visit to the Catholic University of San Antonio of Murcia to strengthen the existing bonds between the Spanish and Cuban institutions.
Furthermore, José Luis Mendoza, the president of UCAM was able to have a conversation with the archbishop. During the reunion, the archbishop showed interest towards the students of the university, as well as towards the educational model of the Catholic University. On his part, José Luis Mendoza was able to see, how the different educational activities where UCAM is collaborating are going ahead.
The collaboration has been implemented thanks to the project ‘La Moneda Cubana: Programa de Entrenamiento para Jóvenes’ (The Cuban Currency: Youth Training Program), acknowledged in 2016 with the “Excellence Award”. Through this program, the students, that have no work nor professional formation, can complete different educational cycles with the guidance of UCAM, specialising in different areas such as cuisine, gastronomy, languages or protocol.
