For the third consecutive year, the streets of the centre of Murcia were transformed into the setting of a regular event in the regional sporting calendar: the 3rd UCAM Solidaria – 5K and Walk in aid of AFACMUR (Asociación de Familias de Niños con Cáncer de la Región de Murcia, Association of Families of Children with Cancer in the Region of Murcia). Organised by the UCAM Sports Service, the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia and the City Council, with the collaboration of Caixabank, the event combined sporting effort with social commitment.

A spring day with clear skies, mild temperatures and little wind provided the ideal setting for athletics, encouraging a large turnout of runners and walkers. Top athletes shared the course with amateurs and families, all with a common goal: supporting a charitable cause that helps children with cancer and their families.

In the competitive section, Zakaria Boufaljat (Cueva de Nerja) won the men's category with a time of 14:49, followed by Estanislao Lorencio (PBF Endurance) and Álvaro Martínez (Atletisme Crevillent), who crossed the finish line 14 and 17 seconds later, respectively. In the women's category, Clara Viñarás (UCAM) took the victory with a time of 16:59. The podium was completed by Irene Andújar (Grupo Alcaraz) and Irene Tsadikan Vidal (CA Murcia PDS Group), in second and third place.

Beyond the competition, the day stood out for its family character, with the UCAM solidarity walk as the main protagonist. People of all ages walked the circuit, showing their commitment to the cause and enjoying a morning of coexistence and sport.
