Further information
The 6 ECTS of the Master's Dissertation will test whether the student has achieved the general and specific competences of the Master's Degree.
The professional profile presented by this Master's Degree aims to train future lawyers, enabling them to become professionals.
All students must pass the Master's Dissertation (MD) in order to graduate with the Master's Degree.
This dissertation must assess the competences associated with the Master's programme and must be publicly defended once the student has passed all the credits of the Master's syllabus, except for those corresponding to the dissertation.
The MD will involve selecting a related topic and, following a preliminary review of the current state of the issue, establishing a hypothesis with corresponding objectives, designing a work plan, conducting a systematic or organised literature review, and preparing the study in order to obtain results and draw conclusions. The project must integrate the training content received and be geared towards the development and assessment of the professional and cross-disciplinary skills set out in this syllabus. The project will also demonstrate solid training in the use of legal, doctrinal and jurisprudential sources that support the activities or strategies developed and the conclusions reached.
The content and extension of the project must be proportional to the 6 ECTS credits assigned to the course and, therefore, the amount of hours the student must spend on it shall be in accordance with these credit load.
