In this module students are provided with the resources and techniques necessary to carry out the process of English teaching and learning from a communicative approach that includes learning oral and written skills, as well as the development of their linguistic awareness. We will offer students a wide range of practical skills in order to select and use a large number of techniques. Students will develop their ability to understand different types of English oral and written texts. Besides, they will be provided with the theoretical and practical bases of CLIL (Content Language Integrated Learning) in order to promote foreign language learning and teaching through content at different teaching levels

Design of materials and Methodological Innovation in Bilingualism 5
Evaluation Techniques for Bilingual Teaching 5

This module provides students with key practical principles for the design of teaching materials and of the evaluation techniques and strategies which the teacher of bilingual teaching should know. Students will acquire the necessary skills to better understand processes of teaching, learning and assessing a second language in a bilingual context.

Bilingualism in Today’s Society: Fundamentals and Development. Psycholinguistics and interlanguage 10

This module focuses on providing students with the necessary theoretical foundations of bilingual education in today’s society and with the cognitive dimension of language learning. It will be done through the study and analysis of the main theories that this domain encompasses, starting with an accurate definition of bilingualism. Particular emphasis is given to psycholinguistic processes in the development of the learners’ interlanguage.

Introduction to research in CLIL/EFL classes 3

This module gives the students the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals about research methods and data management in both an academic and professional contexts concerning bilingual education. That way, they will acquire a better understanding of the role and the use of research in this field, something which will help them deal better with their final Master’s project and all the essays and tasks they will be assigned in other modules.

Practicum 8

The period of work placement will be carried out in primary or secondary schools. Its main objective is to provide the Master’s student with the chance to observe the administrative and teaching work of bilingual education professionals and to adapt and transfer the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired throughout the course to the bilingual education classroom, and so, consolidate the relevant competences.

Final master project 6

Students will have to write a final project where they will reflect on a theoretical or methodological point among those studied in the other modules and its application to a real CLIL/EFL class. They will be tutorized by experienced professors who will guide and and supervise their work. The project will be defended in front of an examination panel made up by experts and professors, who will assess it
