UCAM strengthens its bonds with Germany by welcoming FOM students and Aldi professionals
They will receive specialised training and improve their knowledge of Spanish.
A group of students from the prestigious German school Fachhochschule für Oekonomie & Management (FOM) just arrived at Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM), where they will study different areas related to marketing and international business management. Moreover, Aldi employees will participate in a training programme, which combines academic education and cultural experiences in Spain.
Clemens Jäger, FOM Business Management Dean, highlighted the bond between both institutions, empathising that, ‘we have been collaborating with UCAM for 16 years now with master’s and doctoral programmes, improving our student’s training internationally.’
Meanwhile, UCAM Vice-Rector of International Relations and Communication, Pablo Blesa, expressed his satisfaction and stated that, ‘we feel very happy to welcome these students from one of the most important universities in Germany, one that specialises in training executive cadres.’
This programme includes cultural immersion in the Spanish language and traditions as well as participating in modules that will be taught by German and Spanish lecturers. ‘This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these students, not only when it comes to their academic experience, but also in regard to learning about Spanish culture’, added Jäger.
These students will stay at UCAM for three months and will study five training modules, some of which will be taught using a mixed method. Furthermore, they will be given the opportunity to improve their Spanish skills through a specific Spanish programme.
