The UCAM Assembly Hall was cramped this morning to welcome the students representing each year of the different degrees offered by the Universidad Católica de Murcia this 2024-25. They were welcomed by the President of the institution, María Dolores García, accompanied by Manuel Carlos Ruiz, Vice-Rector for Quality and Academic Planning; Antonio Alcaraz, Vice-Rector for University Outreach, and Adrián Massotti, President of the Student Council.

More than 300 students attended the meeting, at which, as well as getting to know their role and meeting the members of the Student Council, they elected the spokespersons for their degree courses.

María Dolores García thanked the large attendance at this first meeting of the academic year, ‘the willingness to coordinate all the proposals of their peers and work for their benefit’, being a point of union and direct channel with the heads of the University.

For his part, Adrián Massotti emphasised that, in addition, all of them also represent the institution externally, citing as an example ‘the sessions that the State Council of University Students, the highest body of national student representation, of which UCAM is a member, holds at the Spanish Ministry of Universities’.
