UCAM, a magnet for Chinese students
UCAM and its partner Shandong Lucero Education launch an institute in the Chinese city of Shandong
Representatives of UCAM and Shandong Lucero Education have held a meeting at the Los Jerónimos Campus to endorse the union between the two institutions, which has resulted in the launch of a new institute in the Chinese city of Shandong. There, the Asian students will study for three years - similar to the Baccalaureate in Spain - with an itinerary in Spanish and English and, afterwards, they will be able to continue their studies in any of the three UCAM campuses (Murcia, Cartagena and Madrid). The two institutions began their collaboration last academic year in the field of postgraduate studies, so this agreement represents an extension of their strategic alliance in China.

To sign the agreement, María Dolores García, UCAM president, met with Chuanlei HUANGFU, president of Shandong Lucero Education, who showed her images of the buildings where the training will take place. Also present at the event on behalf of the University were José Luis Mendoza, Director General of Institutional Relations; Enrique Palenzuela, Director of Marketing; Marco Bruno, Director of International Development, and David Wei SUN, from the Department of International Marketing. Shandong Lucero Education was represented by its General Manager, Chenxi YANG, and its International Marketing Manager, Boyang WAN.
This UCAM partner is one of the largest holding companies in China, traditionally dedicated to the oil and construction industries, to which it has now added an education line. The students will begin their studies in these new facilities in September of this year, which means that they will join UCAM in 2028. The president of Shandong Lucero Education highlighted the rapid development of UCAM and referred to sports as a point of union between the two institutions and as an aspect that unites both countries.
Offices in China
In addition, UCAM is expanding its presence in China with the opening of two information offices in Jinan. Like this, not only students from this institute have the opportunity to study at UCAM, but also any other student can find out about the wide range of degrees in Spanish and English offered by UCAM. ‘For us it is a gift from God, and also for Murcia, which will receive students from China every year,’ said José Luis Mendoza García.
