Heads of protocol from institutions and organisations from different fields such as universities, social entities and the aviation industry have gathered at UCAM for the IV Professional Forum on Protocol and Institutional Relations, which is being held today and tomorrow at the Los Jerónimos Campus. The event, co-organised by the Spanish Association of Protocol and UCAM, reflects on the application of innovative tools such as artificial intelligence in this field.

The Forum was inaugurated by María Dolores García, UCAM President, together with Marcos Ortuño,  Regional Minister of the Presidency, Spokesmanship, Foreign Affairs and Emergencies of the Regional Government of Murcia, and Ramón Peche, president of the Spanish Protocol Association.

María Dolores García stressed that ‘Protocol is essential and provides significant added value without which our events would surely be diminished’, to which Councillor Ortuño added that this service ‘is not a question of rigid rules or formalities; it is about order and institutional respect’.

The event will address highly topical and useful issues for protocol and event organisation professionals, which, as Ramón Peche pointed out, is ‘a profession of the future, which is enjoyable and very cross-disciplinary. I encourage everyone to not only have confidence in the Association, but also in all those universities that are committed to protocol, as is the case of UCAM’

The inaugural conference was given by Belén López Ayuso, UCAM vice-rector of Online Education, who spoke about artificial intelligence applied to events. There has also been a focus on topics of great interest such as cybersecurity and security in the digital management of events.

The forum also features the participation of influencers, who analyse marketing strategies applied to the organisation and projection of events, providing an innovative vision of the impact of social networks on the sector.

The forum will continue tomorrow Saturday at 9.30am with sessions dedicated to communication and protocol departments in large companies and in the university environment.
