UCAM hosts the closing day of the 12th International Conference on Rare Diseases
Los Jerónimos Campus was the place where the second day of the 12th International Conference on Rare Diseases was held, whose activity was marked by the social and partnership-based part. Throughout the morning there were different exhibition tables where the speakers exchanged tools for participation between associations and developments on care models, good practices of the association movement and on transparency. In addition, the 2nd Symposium of Undiagnosed People was held, in which research projects aimed at undiagnosed diseases were presented.
Concerning the afternoon session, there were several workshops in which good practices in transparency were taught, as well as workshops on communication and rare diseases and educational inclusion, among others. Furthermore, projects on labour inclusion, cohousing and other initiatives were presented, such as a research project to meet the needs of siblings of children with rare diseases and the information and guidance service on rare diseases of the Ibero-American Rare Diseases Alliance (ALIBER).
