UCAM beats the Guinness World Record for the number of participants in a virtual reality class in a physical classroom setting
It was at the Murcia Campus, during the closing of the 1st International Symposium of Immersive Reality for Resuscitation, organised by UCAM and the European Resuscitation Council
There were 105 people, all wearing virtual reality goggles, who participated in an immersive CPR class held at the UCAM. This is an unprecedented event, which has broken the Guinness World Record for number of participants in a virtual reality class in the same space (the Temple of the Los Jerónimos Monastery), in which the potential of this technology as a learning tool has been demonstrated.
Participants experienced two immersive reality activities in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, one in a snowy mountain environment and the other in basic life support.
This workshop was part of the 1st International Symposium of Immersive Reality for Resuscitation, in which leading experts from Europe and the USA took part. UCAM has been immersed in a constant process of Digital Transformation, a commitment to the use of innovative technologies and methodologies that give added value to teaching, for years.
