Times Higher Education places UCAM among the best universities in the world in Health Sciences

World University Rankings by Subject, by the prestigious British publication, includes it for the first time, ranking it in 601+ (section that covers from 601 to 856) after evaluating research criteria, contributions to the industry, repercussion and international projection.

The latest edition of the World University Ranking by Subject belonging to The Times Higher Education has placed it among the best universities in Health Sciences, positioning it in the 601+ section (which covers from 601 to 856).  UCAM has been rated for its impact, international projection, contributions to industry and research activity.

Leader in clinical simulation

The Health Sciences Area is one of the most outstanding areas of UCAM. On its campuses it offers Bachelor’s degrees in Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Podiatry, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science and Technology and Biotechnology, as well as a wide catalogue of highly specialised Master’s degrees and a doctoral programme in Health Sciences.

 UCAM offers its students the most advanced equipment and provides them with various high-end tools in clinical simulation for their practical works. In addition, it has a highly qualified teaching staff that offers students personalised attention. The result of this training, for example, is the excellent academic results obtained by medical students in the Resident Medical Intern exams (MIR), with more than 97% of passing students, which allows them to choose a speciality in reference hospitals.

Outstanding in international rankings

There are several international rankings that place UCAM as a reference university. In September, the University managed to enter the World University Ranking and in 2019 it was recognised as the tenth European university in terms of quality education. Degrees such as Dentistry, Psychology and Medicine have also been especially highlighted by the U-Multirank and the Knowledge and Development Foundation (CYD).
