José Martínez, UCAM lecturer, Bronze Medal for Sporting Merit
The Spanish Taekwondo Federation recognises his career with this award.
José Martínez Más, gynaecologist and professor at the Faculty of Nursing at the
Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia, began his career in the world of
Taekwondo in 1992, obtaining his black belt in 2001. Since then, he has been a
member of different clubs and has even worked as team doctor for the Spanish
team in international competitions, such as the World Championship held in
South Korea in 2015.
For his career and dedication to the world of sport, the Spanish Taekwondo
Federation has recognised his work, awarding him the Bronze Medal for
Sporting Merit. The ceremony, at which other important awards were presented,
was attended by José Antonio Solano, Vice-president of the Spanish
Taekwondo Federation; Francisco Sánchez, Director General of Sports of the
Region of Murcia; Sonia Ruiz, Captain of the Spanish Wheelchair Basketball
Team; and Rafael Alcázar, Director of the High Performance Sports Centre.
