The students of the UCAM university radio station, iradioUCAM, in collaboration with a group of elderly participants in the Radio Workshop of the La Caixa Foundation of Murcia, have carried out radio demonstrations in the framework of the II Encuentro Tecnológico eXPeriencia 6.0, an event aimed at the over-60s which was held on the University Campus of Lorca. This activity shows the results of the research project 'Radio as a tool to combat ageism and encourage the active social participation of the elderly', the result of a collaboration agreement between UCAM and the La Caixa Foundation for development.

The UCAM's New Health Technologies Research Group, led by Manuel Pardo, also participated in the event, which will carry out activities for training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with virtual reality glasses, as well as training in the use of drones.

Under the slogan 'Technology has no limits, neither do you', the Lorca gathering aims to bring the use of technology closer to the elderly, giving them the opportunity to explore new tools and improve their quality of life. eXPeriencia 6.0 is an initiative of the Integra Digital Foundation and the Murcian Institute of Social Action (IMAS), designed to become the main technological event for the elderly in the Region of Murcia. This activity is also part of the activities of the future Digital Transformation Agency of the Region of Murcia.

This year's edition, which was supported by the Lorca City Council and the Lorca University Campus, offered a wide range of workshops and demonstration activities aimed at teaching different technological applications. Attendees will have the opportunity to test innovative solutions and learn about the latest advances in technological equipment.
