Graduation ceremony of the 12th class of the UCAM Master’s Degree in Health Services Management and Planning
The programme, a benchmark in executive training in the sector, has more than 200 graduates who hold positions of responsibility in the public and private healthcare sectors
Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia held the ceremony for the awarding of diplomas to the 12th graduating class of the UCAM Master's Degree in Health Services Management and Planning. The ceremony, that took place in the Temple Assembly Hall, was attended by distinguished representatives from the academic and healthcare field, as well as graduates and their families.
During the ceremony, Manuel Ruiz, UCAM Vice-Rector of Quality and Academic Planning, highlighted the prestige of this Master’s Degree, underlying that it is 'a benchmark programme in public health management nationally. Moreover, the programme has recently renewed its certification given by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain, for the third time, ensuring its academic and professional excellence.'
Mariano Guerrero, head of b, recalled the beginnings of this Master’s Degree in 1998, noting that 'this programme was a personal endeavour of UCAM’s founder, José Luis Mendoza, and has become a benchmark in healthcare managers training. More than 200 graduates have taken on responsibilities in the private and public healthcare sectors, even holding positions such as health counsellors or presidents of health institutions.'
José Sedes, Managing Director of the Area II of the Cartagena Health Service and honorary patron of this graduating class, shared some words with the new graduates, encouraging them to combine professional excellence with a deep service vocation: 'In the health sector, we cannot lose the human component of our labour. Humility, empathy and commitment with the patients and their families must always guide our management.'
