An faith influencer: @elmaridodelarubia, new UCAM ‘ambassador’
José Francisco Trigueros will spread the Christian values on social media in collaboration with UCAM
Los Jerónimos Monastery has embraced the incorporation of José Francisco Trigueros Yelo, known in social media as @elmaridodelarubia, as a new ‘ambassador’ of the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia; a connection that has been signed in the presence of María Dolores García, UCAM President, and José Luis Mendoza García, UCAM Director General for Institutional Relations.
Trigueros’ mission on social media, where he has a big community of followers, is based on the transmission of Christian values with an special perspective on the role of the husband in the family, having Saint Joseph as a role model. ‘Evangelising husbands is my mission, to get them to treat their wives as St Joseph treated the Virgin Mary’, said the new UCAM ‘ambassador’, who will continue his training in marriage and family issues at the university.
A Key Figure in Digital Evangelisation
José Luis Mendoza García emphasised the importance of having ‘ambassadors’ like Trigueros in our communication strategy: ‘He seeks holiness and conversion, and he does so following the example of Saint Joseph. His content reaches many people, especially the Christian community, and this fits perfectly with our mission as a university.’
In this sense, he emphasised the institution's commitment to the role of ‘influencers as digital missionaries’, capable of bringing the message of the Gospel to the new generations.
Meanwhile, Trigueros' wife, Jeannine Sánchez, has shared her satisfaction at this new step in their journey together: ‘This is a mission for both of us. Even though he's the public face, we prepare all the content together. I always dreamed of working with my husband in evangelisation, and UCAM gives us the opportunity to do it with a wider reach.
As part of his work, @elmaridodelarubia will collaborate with UCAM on a number of projects, creating content that reinforces the values of the institution in areas such as faith, family and ongoing education. His aim is to use social networks to help more people find in marriage a path to happiness and Christian fulfilment.
