The Faculty of Sport's scientific journal among the best in the world

Cultura, Ciencia y Deporte (CCD), Culture, Science and Sport, celebrates its 20th anniversary with outstanding scores in the world rankings.

The scientific journal Cultura, Ciencia y Deporte (CCD) which belongs to the UCAM Faculty of Sport confirms its position as one of the best scientific journals worldwide, thanks to its qualification in the highest quartile (Q1) according to the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR). Founded in 2004, the multidisciplinary journal will publish its 61st issue in September this year, celebrating almost two decades of contributions to science. 

Since it was founded, 'Cultura, Ciencia y Deporte' has published more than 500 articles with the support of 1200 external reviewers and a team of more than 100 professionals, positioning itself as a journal of worldwide relevance in the social sciences. Its thematic areas and fields of work in Physical Education and Sports cover health, education, performance, management and recreation. This multidisciplinary approach has enabled it to attract academic experts and professionals interested in research and development in these fields from all over the world. 

'Cultura, Ciencia y Deporte' has reached the highest quartile (Q1) according to the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), which places it among the best scientific journals worldwide

The exponential growth of the journal in recent years is reflected in its indexing and positioning in the main scientific rankings. In addition, the most recent update of the Journal Citation Report (JCR) has given the journal an impact factor of 1.1, placing it in the third quartile (Q3) within the HOSPITALITY, LEISURE, SPORT & TOURISM category. 

This recognition reinforces the commitment of the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia and the journal to the dissemination of knowledge and the promotion of research in key areas for society.
