CreaMurcia and the Master’s Degree in Sound will foster the musical talent of the young Murcians
An agreement between UCAM and the City Council of Murcia will allow the participants in the cultural contest, in the music modality, to access a scholarship to continue with their training and to improve their education
UCAM and the City Council of Murcia reached an agreement so that the young people who participates in the cultural contest CreaMurcia, in music modality, can access a scholarship, which entails a 15% discount on the registration to the Master’s Degree in Sound Engineering and Record Production offered by UCAM.
Under this agreement, valid as of the current academic year, this Tuesdays, it took place the visit to the UCAM facilities of the councilwoman for Sustainable Mobility and Youth of the City Council of Murcia, Rebeca Pérez, who, accompanied by Juan Albaladejo, head of the Programme of Cultural and Educational Revitalisation of the council, has discovered the facilities were the Master’s Degree training takes place, among which it stands out the professional recording studio of the University. Rebeca Pérez highlighted that this initiative “aims at professionally training young people to improve their access to the labour world”. According to Rafael Melendreras, Vice-dean of the Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Technologies and co-director of the Master’s Degree, together with Javier Desiderio, “the agreement represents a strong commitment in favour of talent and an opportunity for the young Murcian artists to continue their training”.
The Master’s Degree in Sound Engineering and Record Production of UCAM is developed in a practical way in the phases of professional production, covering everything from recording techniques to editing, mixing and final mastering. Likewise, is provides necessary knowledge on acoustics, electronics, emotional intelligence and musical language. This Master's Degree, taught both by teachers of the University and by famous professionals of the record industry, is supported by companies such as Sony Music, which has been participating since the first edition in the final assessment of the students.
