The Chinese universities of Xi'an and Ningbo will cooperate with the UCAM in research and training

The delegations of the Xi’an Physical Education University and of the Ningbo University have visited the UCAM to conclude the initial agreements between the two higher education institutions, specialised in the field of sports and business management. This visit took place a few days after the Chinese Ministry of Education recommended the UCAM as one of the universities for studying abroad. Furthermore, the ranking of the prestigious Times Higher Education ranks the UCAM as the tenth university in Europe for quality teaching.

A delegation of the Chinese Xi'an Physical Education University, led by its vice-president ChenYan has travelled to the Region of Murcia to better understand the educative model of the Catholic University of Murcia, recognised in Europe as the ‘university of sports’, and to sign the front lines of collaboration between the two institutions. ChenYan, who also held a meeting with José Luis Mendoza, president of the UCAM, expressed his gratitude for welcoming him and highlighted the similarities between the institution of Xi’an and the UCAM in their strong commitment in the field of sport.

On the other hand, the Catholic University of Murcia also received the visit of a delegation from the Ningbo University, led by Wang Haohan, its vice-president, with the aim of strengthening bonds between the two universities for future collaboration projects. The majority of these projects are included in master's and bachelor’s degree programmes in business management and sports management.

Both meetings coincided with the news of the inclusion of the Catholic University of Murcia in the list of universities recommended by the Chinese Ministry of Education for studying abroad. This will allow the UCAM to extend collaborations and strengthen bonds with institutions of the Asian country with regard to educative projects and incorporation of students.

Furthermore, the Times Higher Education, one of the three most important ranking organisations in the world, together with the QS and the Shanghai ranking, included the Catholic University of Murcia in its THE Europe Teaching Rankings, among the 200 best universities in Europe and the 10 best rated universities by its students for its educative quality. The ranking assesses the training of the students for their inclusion in the labour market, the success rate of the graduates, the services of the university, etc.
