On the 7th of Febraury, through the AI  and Family Medicine Chairs,  the Spanish Society of Primary Care Medicine and UCAM signed a cooperation agreement to improve the training of doctors in the use of intelligent technologies to transform family medicine and improve the primary care quality.  The agreement was signed as part of the II Encounter on Artificial Intelligence and Health, held at the Hospital Universitario del Rosell (Rosell University Hospital) in Cartagena. UCAM professors such as Belén López, Vice-rector of online learning, took part. She spoke about artificial intelligence as a catalyst for change in eHealth.

This alliance, which was formalised by Belén López, who also is the coordinator of the UCAM Chair in Artificial Intelligence, and Juan Antonio Divisón, head of the UCAM-SEMERGEN Chair in Family and Community Medicine, will promote lifelong learning and applied research in the health service field. Through this joint endeavour, training programs and research activities that update both doctors and student will be developed, supporting the use of innovative technologies in the clinical practices. Furthermore, knowledge and technology transfer will be easier between both institutions, and seminars, workshops, and training conferences will be organised to continue promoting innovation in Family Medicine.
