The 8th UCAM Staff Week welcomes representatives from 26 European and African universities
Teachers and administrative and service staff from 26 universities in 15 countries, such as Finland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Armenia, Uganda and Moldova are taking part in the 8th International Erasmus Staff Week, which is being held on the UCAM campuses in Murcia and Cartagena this week.
Pablo Blesa, UCAM Vice Rector of International Relations and Communication, and Lonneke Meijer, coordinator of international exchange programmes, have welcomed them to these days, in which they will participate in training workshops on the methodology of work at UCAM, learn about its educational offer and international mobility, as well as the culture and gastronomy of the region through various activities organized by the Vice Rector’s Office of International Relations.
Pablo Blesa highlights ‘the enthusiasm of professionals from other institutions when they come to our University, for being in a friendly environment such as the Los Jerónimos Campus, with open and welcoming people’, adding that ‘at the same time, UCAM is a tourist magnet for the Region of Murcia due to the number of people it attracts to reside here for such a long time; we have almost four thousand international students’.
