About us
The Buddy Program is designed to help international students feel at home at UCAM from the very beginning.
By connecting new students with experienced buddies, we create a welcoming community where you can get support, make friends, and adapt to university life with confidence. Whether you need advice, guidance, or simply someone to share your experience with, your buddy will be there to help!

Being a Senior Buddy is more than helping a new student settle in: it's an opportunity to make a real impact.

To join the program, you should:
- Be an international UCAM student
- Be in your 2nd year or above
- Have a clean academic record
- Enjoy meeting new people and working in a social environment
- Be committed to helping and supporting fellow students
- 3 months of free access to the UCAM Sports Center
- 0,5 ECTS
Junior Buddies
Become a Junior Buddy and forget having no bad days during your first year at university!
- Meet new people from all over the world.
- Get to know all the important stuff going on at the university.
- Lost around campus? Your buddy is there to help!
- Enjoy a totally stress-free start to your university journey.
- Your buddy can be your guide and tell you all the best spots in the city.
- Discover all the fun activities you can do in the University.
- You will never feel alone! Your buddy was in your situation before, so he/she knows how you feel.
- Find a group of friends in your University town - you will not only meet your buddy, but also other people’s buddies!
- Your buddy will be your guide, but it can also become a long lasting friendship.
As a Junior Buddy, your only task is to enjoy and relax! We know how it feels to be the new one, and to not know anyone in a new place.
Your buddy will be there to help you with all the questions that may arise during your first year and guide you. Listen to their recommendations! They were also new students sometime and will try to help you as much as they can.
The only requirement to become a Junior Buddy is to be an international student from the first year.
