Academic Scholarship

Admissions Requirements

  • 15 academic scholarships (free tuition fee with the amount of € 5.800) for the English taught program which will be carried out on-campus at the Los Jerónimos Campus (Murcia, Spain) through face-to-face learning modality.  
  • 20 academic scholarships (free tuition fee with the amount of € 3.500) for the Spanish taught program which will be carried out virtually through online learning modality.

To be considered eligible for an academic scholarship at UCAM-GCTP for the master program of Tolerance Studies and Global Peace, it is mandatory to fulfill the following requirements:

General Requirements:

  • Open to any nationals.
  • Candidates must have strong academic background and or work experience in the field related to tolerance and global peace.
  • Has completed UCAM Student registration process here.

Academic and Technical Requirements

  • Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA on a scale of 4.0. or of 8 on the scale of 10 (Original or Certified True Copy).
  • Agree to provide UCAM with duly legalized certified and translated copies of university degree, academic record or any other required documentation by UCAM Admission Office.
  • For those who applied for online master (in Spanish), the applicants must have a computer properly equipped to follow online course, taking into consideration a number of technical aspects such as: stable internet connection, video and audio facilities (camera and microphone), adequate operating system, etc.

Language Requirements

  • High level of language proficiency that correspond to the applied master program, namely English or Spanish.

Interested Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  • Valid Passport (non-EU citizens) or National identity document (EU citizens only).
  • Certificate of Bachelor Degree or equivalent to 4-years of postsecondary study.  
  • Academic Transcript/Record.
  • Curriculum Vitae or Resume.
  • For the English-taught face-to-face program, the candidates must submit an English language certificate of B2 CEFR or through an interview with scholarship selection committee.
  • For the Spanish-taught online master program, the applicants that are not native Spanish speakers must have a Spanish level equivalent to C1 CEFR and present a certificate of language proficiency issued by accredited bodies such as Instituto Cervantes and UCAM Higher School of Languages (ESI) or through an interview with scholarship selection committee.
  • A Short Essay on the issue of Tolerance and Peace.
  • A Motivation Letter
  • Two Reference Letters

The academic scholarship application process should be done individually by the respective candidates by filling online application of the Master program available through this link  https://international.ucam.edu/studies/masters-tolerance-studies-global-peace in the “Scholarship” section.

It is mandatory that all interested applicants to submit a complete scholarship application form with the required documentation before the deadline as established below:

  • For face-to-face Master Program (in English)
    • Before May 31st 2024 for those applicants who require Schengen visa
    • Before August 15th 2024 for those applicants who do not require Schengen visa

 

  • Online Master Program (in Spanish)
    • Before August 31st 2024

GCTP Academic scholarship is aimed at exceptional applicants from any countries. Special consideration will be given to those applicants from countries under development / under special living conditions (conflicts, war, violence, poverty, discrimination, gender inequality, etc.) and who are interested in the fields of Tolerance and Peace. Good academic performance, is a must for the continuity of the Scholarship.

Among others, the Academic Scholarship Evaluation Committee considers a number of key evaluation criteria, as the following:

  • Country of origin
  • Academic Performance
  • Candidate special circumstances
  • Interest in the field of Tolerance and Peace
  • Career Objectives

All completed applications supplemented by all required supporting documents will be reviewed by the Scholarship Application Evaluation Committee to ensure that every applicant receives full consideration.

The Committee also will assess students based on previous academic performance and the alignment of a candidate’s interest in the fields of Tolerance and peace.

All decisions by the Scholarship Application Evaluation Committee are final and any attempts by applicants to lobby or persuade the committee during the process will result in immediate disqualification.

UCAM-GCTP Academic Scholarship for both face-to-face and online Master program covers only tuition fee. Upon receiving the academic scholarship, selected applicants are required to bear the following administrative fee with the detail as the following:

  • For face-to-face Master Program (in English)
    • Non-refundable application fee 150 €
    • Non-refundable pre-inscription fee 280 € (for both EU and non-EU students)
    • Mandatory insurance fee required by the Spanish government 28.8 €

 

  • Online Master Program (in Spanish)
    • Non-refundable application fee 150 €
    • Non-refundable pre-inscription fee 215 € for (EU and non-EU students)

Once the outcome of the selection process has been made and the selected candidates have been notified by email, the applicants will have 7 (seven) working days to accept the scholarship offer. Failure to express acceptance within the established period implies the loss of the scholarship and its reassignment to other applicants according to the order established on a reserve list.
