One of the groups that was more affected by the pandemic within the world of sports is basic training. While the protocols that allow the thousands of young persons who play team sports in the Region of Murcia to train and compete are concluded, the reserve of young players of UCAM Murcia CB tries to professionalise as much as possible the training of the boys that are closer to the first team. The creation of two elite groups allows to obtain the best performance from players that have a bright future in the world of basketball.

These two groups are composed of 6 and 7 players respectively andSito Alonso and his technical staff are personally responsible for their basketball preparation. The coach of the first team, together with his assistants, Alberto Miranda and Lucas Pérez, and the physical trainer José Manuel Marín, is in charge of preparing these specific trainings in which the knowledge of sport in the professional world is boosted.

Apart from their sports training, the club also takes care of the academic and personal training of the players. For this reason, it is fundamental the work of the Reserve Team Director, Juan Antonio Martínez who, together with Carles Miñana y Dimitris Tsesmetzis, coordinates whatever is necessary so that basketball is complementary to their studies. Thanks to UCAM, both university and secondary studies adapt to the life of the athlete.
