The Catholic University of Murcia strengthens its relationship with educational institutions in Dubai once again. A delegation from the educational institution, led by Pablo Blesa, Vice-Rector of International Relations and Communication, together with Miguel Martí and Ernesto García, from the International Department, travelled to the United Arab Emirates to inaugurate the collaboration agreement with Nest Academy of Management Education (NAME Dubai) this past week. NAME is a business school specialised in the field of business administration, tourism and sports management, located in Dubai, which also has campuses in India. NAME teaches over 5,000 students. Saif Ali Mohamed, a member of its board of directors, took part in the event on behalf of the institution.

UCAM will accredit the MBA programmes of NAME Dubai, including all its specialisations: MBA, Finance, HR and Marketing. The agreement is also aimed at promoting studies in the field of sports management. This new collaboration is an addition to the one established years ago with the Westford Education Group, a group of colleges and higher education institutions, based in the UAE, to which the UCAM accredits master's degrees. NAME’s programmes are designed for executives and mid-level managers from the Middle East and Africa.

UCAM Español Institute Dubai

The Catholic University of Murcia, through its School of Languages, has had the UCAM Español Institute in Dubai since 2014. Said institute promotes Spanish and the Spanish culture through different courses and activities. It is the only centre which has been accredited by the Instituto Cervantes in the area surrounding the Persian Gulf. It is also a DELE Examination Centre, where people who want to obtain an official qualification from the Instituto Cervantes can do so. The institute also teaches at local schools through programmes such as “Spanish as a mother tongue”, “Spanish as a foreign language” and “educational consulting”. As a result, the UCAM has become the leading institution for both the Spanish as well as the Latin language and culture in Dubai.
