The joy at the coming of Christmas filled the Temple of the Universidad Católica in its traditional Christmas carol competition. More than twenty groups of students, workers and family members joined in with their voices and talents to perform Christmas carols such as 'Silent Night', 'Bell on Bell' and 'El chiquirritín'. International students from countries such as Uganda, France, Italy and the Ukraine also took part, singing 'Holy Night' and 'Last Christmas', among others. As usual, the performance of the Christmas carol by the students of the UCAMPACITAS social and work integration programme for people with disabilities was one of the most eagerly awaited –and most applauded– of the event due to its originality.

The event, which was organised by the Vice-Rector's Office for University Outreach and the UCAM Chaplaincy Service, not only filled the church with joy, happiness, hope and excitement, but also managed to fill the hearts of all those who attended to celebrate the coming of Christmas.
