UCAM announces its First Online Science Olympiad

The Vice-chancellorship for Research of UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia will hold its first e-Science Olympiad on 27 and 28 May, through the internet, thus adapting to the current situation these tests, which were carried out in face-to-face modality in previous years. The change to the online format will allow higher secondary-education students or professional training students from all over the country to participate. 


Specifically, on Wednesday 27, the tests linked to the studies of Nursing and Physical Activity and Sports Sciences of the Cartagena Campus of UCAM will be held, while on Thursday 28 the competition for the degrees in Nutrition, Architecture and Construction Engineering, Sports, Nursing, Gastronomy, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering of Los Jerónimos Campus in Murcia will take place.  In each of these competitions, a first prize of a scholarship covering 100% of the tuition fees for the first year of the degree chosen to compete will be awarded. 


Registrations can be made through a form available on the website eventos.ucam.edu until 26 and 27 May at 2:00 pm respectively. For this edition, the tests have been adapted to be carried out from home. 


The vice-chancellor Estrella Núñez explained that "this Olympiad is intended to encourage the interest of young people in various areas of knowledge and to arouse scientific vocations". Like every year, this event will have the collaboration of the Séneca Foundation of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
