The Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia hosted the soundtrack of the film 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' by Tim Burton, giving the audience, and especially the hundreds of children who attended the concert, the opportunity to enjoy the music performed by the UCAM Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Salvador Pérez this Saturday. The Orchestra was accompanied by the Choir Discantus and the actors and singers Francisco Bermejo, Paco Linares, and Elena Bella, conducted by Ángel Carrillo.

An event full of colour and emotions, which was held so that no child is left without presents this Christmas. At the entrance of the auditorium, many were the children who handed in toys to be given to others who do not have access to them. Caritas volunteers will distribute them to the children's homes.

In this sense, Luis Emilio Pascual, Coordinator of the UCAM Symphony Orchestra, explained that ‘it’s Christmas and we are in times of crisis. There are many families who cannot afford to buy toys for their children, so all the proceeds from this concert will be used exclusively for that purpose; buying toys that Caritas will distribute to children from families in need’. He also stressed that it is essential that ‘children are taught in giving our time, our goods and our lives to others’.
