'Ranerista', Getafe CF player in the eLaLiga Santander, becomes a new UCAM scholarship holder.

The athlete Antonio Montiel, from Murcia, is a student of the Higher Language School of UCAM and he professionally plays for the Getafe CF FIFA team.

Currently, ‘Ranerista’, which is the name with which he is known in the competitive world of e-sports, is competing in the eLaLiga Santander, the official competition of EA SPORTS FIFA 21 in Spain, organised by LaLiga and Electronic Arts. The aim of the professional player is to study English at the Higher Language School (ESI), although he says that, once the course is over, he wants to continue his training at UCAM.

Thanks to this scholarship, Antonio Montiel can train and compete at top-level without abandoning his studies: “I see this opportunity as an advance both in my personal and in my professional life, because UCAM is known around the world and I am proud that they have chosen me in order to work together”.

UCAM is a pioneer institution in the field of e-sports, and ever since its beginning in this field with the International Chair of E-sports it has never stopped growing.  UCAM counts on facilities such as the E-sports Research and Training Centre (CIFES), with the latest technologies to compete at top-level and for teaching.
