Arrival on Campus

Dear Students, 

Getting very close to course start days, October, early November and January just around the corner.  We are very excited for you as we know what a wonderful year awaits you. 

Many are already on campus and for those who aren't we are ready with a warm welcome.  In order to help you as quickly and efficiently as possible to fully matriculate we need you to take heed of the following information.

In order to enroll it is necesary to present the original documents (undergraduate or postgraduate) at our international office.

Office hours: 9:30am to 1:30pm and 5pm to 7pm
Location: Ground floor next to the Library inside of the main Monastery building

We will review the documentation and bring you to the corresponding central enrolments offices to physically hand in the documentation.  At this stage your pre-inscription will be stamped and you can use that for the bus / tram tickets, visa office etc.

Once your documentation has been received it will be processed all going well within 1/2 days. This could take longer due to high volume of arrivals.  

If there is an incident in the processing your paperwork we will work closely with you to resolve it. If more than 4 days passes without receiving confirmation of admission get in touch please.

Otherwise you will receive an email stating you are admitted.That email will contain an link back to pre-inscription asking you to go to Step 4. At the bottom of that page you will find important information on your class code and virtual campus password. You will be asked to fill in some statistics and one button will be "Matriculation / Matricula".  Click on that to download the final matriculation form.  That form will give all the details of your course and credits and payments received to date. The form will also state the amount outstanding that will be expected to be settled with a short reasonable time period (for how see further payments section)

At this stage you can get the student card issued which it is used for getting student discounts and class assistance. You will need to present your matriculation document and passport at Santander Bank Oficce located inside the campus. 

Once you download the form mentioned above the IT systems will generate the files needed for you for the Virtual Campus.  This batch job is done each night and so by the next day you should have access to it.  If not please go to the IT help desk on 2nd floor of the main building on the left as you exit the lift.

2) Flywire payment
UCAM has partnered with Flywire in order to streamline the process of international payments. Flywire allows you to pay securely from any country and any bank, generally in your home currency.

a) Those who arrived on visas have 30 days from arrival to visit Extranjeria to extend it. Information on how to do that is well detailed in the FAQ section of the webpage.

b) Masters and Degree courses registration is in Secretary General, ground floor, main monastery building if you want to present your documentation yourself.

c) In front of Secretary General until the end of October Santander personal will be issuing students cards.  Normally they have your data the day you receive the email confirming admission. 

d) Should you be presented by information in Spanish at any stage during matriculation, first send it to us at, we will translate it and request I.T. to incorporate in the process for courses in English. Second, do not be fazed by it, you are a Masters student, work around the problem, use Gmail translation options or Google translator to see more or less what it is saying and act accordingly.

g) Once your Masters finishes, by Virtual Campus you can request from the section Servicios-> Secretaria -> Solicitud de Titulo y Certificados a bilingual "Certificate of finalization"(50€ fee applicable).  This serves as proof or job applications etc that you finished an official Masters. In the same section, you can request the Official Masters diploma from is the Ministry of Education of Span, the body that emits them(185€ fee applies).  Emission typically between 12-18 months.  

h) Please note however the Masters Diploma for EU Studies is emitted by UCAM and posted to graduates addresses within weeks of course completion. 

h) Finally, the International Welcome party are scheduled depeding on the faculty (you will be always informed in advance).
