UCAM shines in this year’s Sports Gala Murcia
The Catholic University San Antonio was one of the stars of the Sports Gala 2015 Murcia.

Miguel Angel Lopez , student of Science Degree in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences of the UCAM , received the award as best sportsman of 2015 Murcia on his victory in the 20km walk test of the World Athletics Championship. Miguel Angel is just a good example of 'Research, Development and Innovation' award which later would give the university its ESTPORT project funded by the European Union for the four European universities of UK, Italy, Greece and Malta replicate the athletes tutoring model that has turned Catholic in 'Sport University' in Europe. Antonio Sánchez Pato , dean of the Faculty of Sport, accepted the award.
Other awards seal UCAM were awarded to José Antonio Carrillo, president of the UCAM Athleo Cieza, recognized as the best coach and Alejandro Valverde, with which the UCAM works through its cycling school, who received the award for "Best sporting gesture 'for his podium at the Tour de France.
