Miguel Ángel López and Ruth Beitia, top candidates for medals in Beijing

The World Athletics Championships will count with seven UCAM athletes

This is one of the most appealing competitions in the world. With the Games less than a year away, it evaluates the shape of the athletes that will make history in the Olympics King Sport at Rio 2016. The World Athletics Championships will occur from the 22nd until the 30th of August in Beijing. Out of the 41 athletes representing Spain, 7 belong to the Catholic University of Murcia. Among them, Miguel Ángel López and Ruth Beitia are our biggest medal hopes. Together with them, Bejamín López and Raquel González (Race-walking), Borja Vivas and Úrsula Ruiz (Shot put), and Kevin López (800 m.) will fight to achieve podium success.
