From Karol Wojtyla to John Paul II through his meditations

The missionary José David Albeza presented his book at the UCAM, titled: 'Father and pastor: Articles, meditations and Pastoral letters of Bishop Karol Wojtyla'.

 


The Catholic University of Murcia hosted the presentation of the book `Father and pastor: Articles, meditations and Pastoral letters of Bishop Karol Wojtyla´, by the missionary in Germany, José David Albeza, in charge of the translation and the collection of documents.


 


The book prologue is written by the personal secretary of John Paul II, Stanislaw Dziwisz. Many of the texts included in the book are unplublished, considering that even though some had already been released in Poland, they had not until now been translated into any other Western language.


 


The book, a collection of articles wirtten by Wojtyla himself, disclosess previously unknown aspects of Saint Jhon Paul II´s life; from the beginning of this intellectual thoughts through to his growth as a person of faith reflected in his writing. "The book is about topics that he wrote about and discussed extensively, such as papers of the Saints, the Virgin Mary, the Social Doctrine of the Church and a wide range of his thoughts" said Albeza.
