Fotis Katsikaris, UCAM Murcia CB new coach

The current Greek coach will be in charge of UCAM Murcia basketball club by the end of the EuroBasket.

Fotis Katsikaris will be UCAM Murcia CB's coach for the 2015-2016 season of the Endesa League. He will be integrated to the club once his obligations to the Greek League are completed . Katsikaris is an experienced coach whose methods have led him to success wherever he trained.


He started his career on the benches as Dusko Ivkovic’s assistant at AEK in Athens, before becoming head coach from 2003 to 2005. After a stint in Russia at Dynamo Saint Petersburg, Katsikaris took the lead of Valencia Basketball Club where he stayed for two seasons, leaving a great legend among Taronja fans. After passing through Aris of Tesalónico, he returned to the Endesa League.


In Bilbao Fotis Katsikaris further increased his reputation, bringing the Basques to an ACB Final for the first time in history. After his success with Bilbao, he started his journey through national selections. Firstly for the Russian national team in 2012 and later, in 2014, he took charge of his country’s selection.
