Physiotherapy is an essentially practical profession and the UCAM is aware of it. For this purpose, the Degree in Physiotherapy was designed with many practice hours in all years of the Degree. In the first years of the Degree, those practice hours are carried out within the University, but during the last years students participate in internships in different hospitals in Murcia, in private centres and in private hospitals.
Practical lessons with a reduced number of students and facilities equipped with all the necessary means for a complete learning, a good training and a quality education.
The Physiotherapy profession covers different social realities. Many of physiotherapists work in public places (hospitals, health centres and schools); they obtain these positions through public competitive examinations. However, the private practice of this profession is a very common career option that let you set out agreements with Public Bodies, Associations (Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s), Sports teams, Geriatrics, etc. The following are some of the areas in which students of Physiotherapy can work once they finish their degree:
