Student’s Profile

The degree in Gastronomy is aimed at people that are interested in doing a professional activity in the hospitality industry and gastronomic tourism, culinary consulting in the food industry, or with an ambition to start their own business, or work in management positions in the public or private sector.

Students should be interested in food and food preparation, and they should also have an inclination towards artistic and cultural expression, management of work teams and/or customer service.

Students should also show awareness of health problems, such as obesity, and a responsibility towards developing an accessible gastronomy for everyone, according to the society in which we live.
