Valencia to Murcia

Of course, it’s also possible to come from Valencia to Murcia.

Again, there are a couple of options. You could go by:

1. Taxi

Since this will a drive of more than 3 and a half hours, this might be a very expensive idea.

2. Train

Assuming you came to Valencia by plane, you probably are at the Valencia – Manises airport. 

In order to go to Murcia, you first need to go from the airport to the train station. You can get here with the metro. In the airport, there is a terminal called Terminal Regional, here you will find the metro station. To go to the train station, which is called Estación del Norte, the Northern Train Station, you need to take line 5, L5, that travels between the airport and Maritim Serrería.

The metro journey will only be a couple of euro’s and the times are:

  • Monday – Friday :             from 05:43 AM to 22:13 PM
  • Saturdays:                         from 06:16 AM to 22:16 PM
  • Sundays and holidays:      from 06:56 AM to 21:16 PM

On this line, there is a stop called ¨Estación del Norte y Plaza de Toros – Xàtiva y Bailén¨. Get out here.

Then, when you are at the train station, you need to find your train. The company that supports the line is called Renfe. The train takes about 3 hours and costs between €19,80 and €42,80. Just remember to bring around €25 for the trip, you should be able to manage with that.  There are 5 trains every day that travel from Valencia Estación del Norte to Murcia.
