The Department of Food Technology and Nutrition offers to our students and teachers and researchers a modern laboratory equipped with high tech instruments and appropriate specifications for teaching and research activities. In these facilities the student has the opportunity to learn by doing, and collaborate on the research work developed in the Department.
The equipment is divided into three labs that allow the development of practical teaching activities of the subjects Degree of Dietetics and Human Nutrition Science and Food Technology. It also has areas dedicated to the development of the activities of the three research groups attached to the Department:
- Encapsulation in cyclodextrins of bioactive compounds.
- Nutrition, oxidative stress & bioavailability.
- Technology for industrial and culinary food processing of animal origin foods.
