Biomechanics Laboratory

The UCAM Biomechanics Laboratory is a state-of-the-art laboratory with different primary data collection systems. The Laboratory has two force platforms (Kistler and IBV) that are used in a 30 m level walk/run way, and an inclined ramp. They can also be used in conjunction with a leg press Smith-Machine. The Laboratory has video cameras and electronic (Vicon) motion capture system. The Laboratory also has Kine telemetric EMG system and Biodex isokinetic dynamometer.

In addition, we have two (one portable) gas analyzers (Jaeger, and Oxycon Mobile), and Norland densitometer. The Laboratory has numerous related peripheral electronics (vibration platform; gun radar; lactate analyzer, load cells, accelerometers, echograph, lineal position transducer, timing gates, etc.) and computers. There is office and meeting space within the laboratory for graduate and post-graduate students and researchers.
