How to get to Oxstalls Campus:
A) From Murcia to Gloucester:
The closest airports with the best connection to Alicante (ALC) or Murcia (MJV) are Birmingham (BHX), Bristol (BRS) and London Luton (LTN). From each of these airports there are coaches or trains available to the centre of Gloucester:
B) From Gloucester to Oxstalls Campus:
Bus 94 leaves every 10-15 minutes from the bus stop directly opposite the train station. It takes five minutes to reach Oxstalls Campus and will leave you directly at the entrance of the campus. Otherwise it is a 25 minute walk from Gloucester train station.
C) Upon arrival:
The student must go to the Main Reception of the Campus where he/she will be handed the keys to their room and the concierge will show them around the residences and facilities as well as provide the student with a list of contacts in case they need assistance.
D) Advice for your stay:
- Weather: The average temperature in Gloucester over summer is between 23C and 26C. Nonetheless please note that it gets a lot cooler at night, with temperatures dropping to 15C or lower. Thus it is advisable to take a jacket. Also bare in mind that rain is common even in summer in the UK.
- In the UK the sockets are different from the rest of Europe, so bring a converter.
- Currency: The currency used in UK is GBP (£) At date of print, the exchange rate is: 1 EUR = 0.72 GBP.
- Transport: We recommend that students purchase a weekly bus ticket to have unlimited travel from Gloucester to Oxstalls for £8 a week.
